Data Deletion Request

Use this page to submit a structured request to delete your GameTrakt account, remove specific content, or request privacy-related data deletion.

1. When to use this page

Use this request format if you want us to process a deletion request that is not fully handled in-app.

  • Full account deletion and associated personal data removal
  • Deletion of specific content (reviews, comments, lists, profile data)
  • Deletion of imported integration data (for example Steam import artifacts)
  • Privacy-law requests where deletion is requested as part of a legal rights process

2. What can be requested

  • Account deletion: closes account and removes account-linked profile/content where applicable.
  • Content deletion: removes specific items you identify by URL.
  • Profile data deletion: avatar, banner, bio, display name, social links, or profile metadata.
  • Import data deletion: imported game ownership/stat/achievement records tied to integrations.

Some records may be retained for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal compliance for a limited period. See Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

3. How to submit a request

Copy the template below, fill it in, and send it through the Contact page (privacy/legal request category). Use the email address connected to your GameTrakt account whenever possible.

Use this template exactly to reduce review time:

5. Identity verification

To prevent unauthorized deletion, we may require verification before acting on a request. Verification may include confirming from the account email, asking you to reply from the signed-in account, or asking for additional proof that you control the account.

6. Retention and limitations

  • Backups may retain deleted records for a limited period before rotation.
  • Legal, security, and abuse-prevention records may be retained where required or justified.
  • Public interactions by other users (for example replies) may remain with deleted content references removed or anonymized, depending on feature behavior.
