1. How we help protect your account

We take account safety seriously and use standard protections to reduce unauthorized access and abuse.

• Email confirmation is used for email/password signups.
• We monitor and fix security issues when they are identified.
• We limit access to account-related actions to the correct signed-in user.
• We review reports of suspicious behavior and platform abuse.

2. What you should do to stay safe

Your account security also depends on how you manage your login and devices.

• Use a strong, unique password for GameTrakt (and for your email account).
• Do not share your login details with anyone.
• Only sign in on the official domain: gametrakt.com.
• Be careful with links claiming to be from GameTrakt.
• Sign out on shared or public devices.

3. Connected services and imports

GameTrakt may connect to third-party services (for example sign-in providers or optional imports). These services have their own privacy and security settings. If an integration is not working or looks wrong, disconnect it and contact us.

Imported data can sometimes be incomplete or inaccurate depending on the provider. That is usually a data quality issue, not a security issue, but you can still report it.

4. Report a security issue

If you think you found a security problem, report it privately through the Contact page using the Security / Vulnerability option.

Helpful details to include:

• What page or feature is affected
• What happened and what you expected instead
• Steps to reproduce (if possible)
• Screenshots or screen recordings

Please do not share security issues publicly before they are reviewed, and do not try to access data that does not belong to you.

5. If something goes wrong

If we confirm a security issue that affects users, we will investigate it, fix it, and notify affected users when appropriate.
